Description

The brickworks only closed in the 1980’s and since then the buildings were cleared with just concrete foundations and a brick wharf giving any hint to the history of this site. Южный соловей and Обыкновенная горлица can be heard, and a colony of Черноголовая чайка are usually found nesting offshore on Fowley Island. Among the other birds you can encounter in the area are Славка-мельничек, Чёрная казарка, Пеганка, Обыкновенная кукушка, Длинноносый крохаль, Шилоклювка, Кулик-сорока, Тулес, Чибис, Большой кроншнеп, Чернозобик and Большой веретенник.
