Description
The area around Errwood Reservoir is a good site for many upland woodland species such as Мухоловка-пеструшка, Обыкновенная горихвостка, Лесной конёк and Серая мухоловка and the best time to visit is in spring when the birds are in song. Пеночка-трещотка is also present some years. Перевозчик, Малый зуёк and Мандаринка can be found around the southern end of the reservoir itself and Белая куропатка and Большой кроншнеп are common on the surrounding moors. Оляпка and Горная трясогузка inhabit the stream to the south of the reservoir and several species of raptor can often be seen in flight over the valley.

Access
There is a fairly large car park in the south west corner of Errwood Reservior and from there you can take the paths and road to the south through the woods and along the riversdie path.
