At Ewelme the overgrown watercress beds provide shelter for rodents, which in turn attracts bird predators such as Сипуха, Красный коршун, 3 egret species and Серая цапля. Smaller birds include Обыкновенная зеленушка, Черноголовый щегол, Славка-черноголовка and Тростниковая овсянка, pursued by Перепелятник. King's Pool may have Обыкновенный зимородок, Малая поганка, Камышница, Хохлатая чернеть and Лысуха.

Access
From Oxford take A423 south for 12 miles then minor road left through Benson. There is no car park at the Watercress beds but onstreet parking in the village centre, plus car park near playground. Reserve access is free and unrestricted. Visitor centre admission £3, restricted hours.
