Description

The shore car park overlooks Strangford Lough and is an excellent vantage point for bird watchers. Among the birds you can see are Чёрная казарка, Пеганка, Лебедь-кликун, Малая белая цапля and Большой кроншнеп. See the extended birdlist below.

Access

This site is situated at the end of the Ringcreevy Road, 3 miles from Newtownards off the Comber Road. The shore car park overlooks Strangford Lough and is an excellent vantage point for birding. A path along the edge of the lough leads to a causeway accessible only at low tide, leading to the island. Island Hill provides magnificent views of the lough. Also known as Rough Island.
