Description
On the islands of Loch Maree Islands National Nature Reserve Краснозобая гагара and Чернозобая гагара nest. Скопа, Орлан-белохвост, Беркут, Сапсан, Полевой лунь, Канюк and Ворон may be seen overhead. Клёст-еловик, woodpeckers, Вальдшнеп, Пеночка-трещотка, Мухоловка-пеструшка and Обыкновенный поползень in the woods. Perhaps Свиристель in winter. Pine marten are fairly common in the area and may visit the feeders in the car parks. Red deer, roe deer and red squirrels, possibly wild cat.

There are several parking spots along the main road. The site is 60 miles west of Inverness and 105 miles north of Fort William. Boat trips available from the Maree Hotel.
