Description
The Moor Green Lakes Nature Reserve occupies 36 hectares north of the River Blackwater. A footpath runs along much of the River Blackwater and provides reasonable, but sometimes distant, views of the lakes. There are 2 hides on the reserve providing good views of the lakes. Resident birds are Малая поганка, Чомга, Малая белая цапля, Перепелятник, Чибис, Домовый сыч, Обыкновенный зимородок, Тростниковая овсянка, Снегирь and Красный коршун. Summer visitors are Малый зуёк, Озерная чайка, Речная крачка and Чеглок. In winter you can expect Большой крохаль, Гоголь, Луток, Горная трясогузка and sometimes Болотная сова. During migration birds like Чирок-трескунок, Скопа, Болотный лунь and Большой улит can sometimes be spotted.

Access
At the western end, there is a small car park off Lower Sandhurst Road (SU 805 628), and at the eastern end, the Activity Centre car-park off Mill Lane (SU 821 620).
