Description
North Cliffe is a mosaic of habitats, woodlands mainly of ash and birch which dominate the site. With both wet and dry areas of woodland being home to an array of woodland species, including Большой пёстрый дятел, Черноголовая гаичка, and Обыкновенная пищуха. In the centre of the site there is a small area of lowland heath. In recent years this has been colonised by a population of Лесной жаворонок whose call adds to the chorus of Садовая славка, Теньковка, and Пеночка-весничка present in spring and summer.
