Occasional rarity, eg Малая морская чернеть in 2013. The moors to the south, with footpath access, rise to 450 metres, look for possible Черноголовый чекан, Каменка, Обыкновенный козодой, Канюк, Ворон, Луговой конёк, Обыкновенная кукушка, Оляпка or Горная трясогузка.

From A465 Heads of the Valleys road, take Tredegar turning, then first right on minor road for half a mile. Car park on the left. Click on the P in the map for directions. Buses from Abergavenny or Cardiff. No train station nearby.
