Description
Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Синьга, Турпан and the rare Пестроносый турпан together. Also wintering here may be Обыкновенная гага, Гоголь, Большой крохаль, Серощекая поганка, Красношейная поганка, all 3 diver species, Морской песочник and Длинноносый крохаль.
Полевой жаворонок, Скальный конёк, Кулик-сорока, Травник, Галстучник and Коноплянка breed here, plus Клёст-еловик, Чиж and Желтоголовый королёк in the pines.
As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Ястребиная славка, Зарничка and Малая мухоловка may turn up in September.
