Description
The Mur River originates in the Austrian Alps and passes through Graz before continuing southeast toward Slovenia and Croatia, where it eventually joins the Drava River. In Graz, the Mur divides the city into two parts and is accompanied by parks, walking paths, and bike trails, serving as a green corridor within the urban landscape. Ecologically, the Mur supports a variety of aquatic and riparian bird species, and there are ongoing efforts to maintain water quality and preserve natural habitats along its banks. Highlights may include potápač veľký, trasochvost horský and potápka malá. With a little luck you can spot a rybárik riečny.
