Étang du Rouillard is a recreational area that offers many birds a habitat during the breeding season. Numerous pairs of labuť veľká, bernikľa veľká, lyska čierna, kačica divá and potápka chochlatá breed in the area. A host of nesting passerines accompany them, such as trasochvost biely, slávik obyčajný, penica slávikovitá and sedmohlások štebotavý. Other species that can be observed include rybár riečny, volavka popolavá, sokol myšiar (pustovka) and sometimes sokol lastovičiar. During migration birds like kulík riečný, kalužiak červenonohý, cibík chochlatý and ležiak úhorový make a stop annually on the grasslands near the airfield. Mainly at the beginning of the year čajka čiernohlavá can sometimes be observed. trsteniarik malý and trsteniarik bahenný sometimes stop in the small reedbeds of the pond in early spring. muchár sivý and muchárik čiernohlavý are regular in the autumn. Winter is also interesting to observe overwintering ducks.

Quelques individus de čajka čiernohlavá s'arrêtent quelques jours sur la base, principalement en début d'année. trsteniarik malý et trsteniarik bahenný font une halte parfois dans les petites roselières de l'étang en début de printemps, tendre l'oreille ! Les muchár sivý et muchárik čiernohlavý sont réguliers à l'automne, surtout à l'unité. L'hiver est la saison la plus intéressante.

Access
Étang du Rouillard is located near the town of Limay, on the bank of the Seine River, west of Paris. There is a large parking lot near the lake. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. You can make a circular walk of 3,5 km around the two lakes.
