Description
The salt marshes and grasslands of the bay of Mont Saint-Michel extend for several kilometers. Although the landscape is heavily impacted by artificial ponds for waterfowl hunting (hunting is mostly done at night), many birds can be seen in the area. The grassy areas support the presence of several passerines such as škovránok poľný, škovránik stromový, ľabtuška lúčna and ľabtuška vrchovská. Small mammals are also present on the site, allowing for a significant number of birds of prey such as myšiarka močiarna, kaňa močiarna, kaňa sivá, sokol myšiar (pustovka), sokol sťahovavý, sokol kobec and sometimes kaňa popolavá. The jastrab krahulec is also a common sight in the summer.
As for waders, močiarnička tichá is present on the site, as is močiarnica mekotavá. Other waders can also be observed. Several ducks and geese can be spotted. For example bernikľa bielolíca, bernikľa tmavá, kazarka pestrá and kačica divá. Late afternoon is the best time for observation.

Les prairies et pâturages ras de la baie du Mont s'étendent sur plusieurs kilomètres. Le paysage est fortement impacté par des étangs artificiels pour la chasse du gibier d'eau (chasse se pratiquant plutôt la nuit) ce qui profite alors à certains anatidés, pour le meilleur et pour le pire... Les herbus favorisent la présence de plusieurs passereaux comme l' škovránok poľný et l' škovránik stromový , le ľabtuška lúčna et le ľabtuška vrchovská. Les micro-mammifères sont aussi présent sur le site permetttan la présence d'un cortège important de rapaces comme le myšiarka močiarna, le kaňa močiarna, le kaňa sivá et parfois le kaňa popolavá, mais aussi le sokol myšiar (pustovka), le sokol sťahovavý et le sokol kobec. Un pygargue à queue blanche issu d'un zoo de Mayenne s'y balade souvent aussi ! L' jastrab krahulec est aussi bien présent l'été.
Concernant les limicoles, la močiarnička tichá est présente sur le site, comme la močiarnica mekotavá. D'autres petits limicoles comme certains Scolopacidés peuvent être observés également. Pour les anatidés, des bernikľa bielolíca peuvent être observés parmis les bernikľa tmavá , les kazarka pestrá ou les kačica divá. La fin d'après-midi est la meilleur période d'obsevration.

Access
Herbus du Mont Saint-Michel is located 12 km north of the town of Pontorson. Several roads lead to the area. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The dike is entirely accessible on foot and provides a high vantage point, thus allowing for easier observation of the species.
