Around lake Mattmarksee you can search for one of the most beautiful mountainbirds, the murárik červenokrídly, which likes to live near water. Other birds you can find here are vrchárka červenkavá, trasochvost horský and dážďovník skalný. From the lake you can walk up the mountain and see čavka žltozobá fouraging in groups near the "refugio", where you can also search for snehárka vrchovská. Access
On the Swiss side you can get here by car and walk. On the Italian side you can go up to Monte Moro by cable car or climb up by hiking.
