Çelebibağı Marshes has different habitats that attract many bird species. The landscape is unique with vast mud flats in the Lake Van closed basin. Shorebirds and other water birds are abundant and the diversity of birds is impressive. Among the birds you can observe in the area are kazarka hrdzavá, plameniak ružový, chriašteľ vodný, žeriav popolavý, kačica chrapačka, šišila bocianovítá, šabliarka modronohá, kulík piesočný, kaňa močiarna, hadiar krátkoprstý, myšiak hrdzavý, kúdeľníčka lužná, včelárik zlatý, krakľa belasá, but also rare birds like labuť spevavá, labuť malá, lyskonoh úzkozobý and many more.
