Description
Blashford Lakes is a good place for birdwatching, as it has a large amount of bird species there. Blashford Lakes is a great place for observing overwintering birds such as bučiak veľký, fúzatka trstinová and beluša veľká . The more regular species of this reserve include, a breeding colony of brehuľa hnedá, breeding rybárik riečny and potápka chochlatá. On the lakes you can also spot wintering wildfowl such as hlaholka severská and potápač veľký.

Access
Blasford Lakes is between Poulner and Verwood ( which are both small towns ), and is easily accessed from both of these locations. If you go to Blashford the carpark for the reserve is in the education centre on the southside of Ellingham road.
