Description
Buckshaw Wood is an area of ancient woodland with diverse trees, birds and wildlife. The area has a big breeding colony of havran čierny in nesting season. Other birds you can observe include mlynárka dlhochvostá, sýkorka belasá, sýkorka veľká, sýkorka uhliarka, vrabec domový, vrabec poľný, belorítka obyčajná, penica popolavá, ďateľ malý, kôrovník dlhoprstý, kolibiarik čipčavý, oriešok obyčajný, drozd trskota and drozd plavý.

Buckshaw Wood is located in the middle of Buckshaw Village. Parking available in surrounding streets. Press P on the map for directions. Allow up to an hour or 90 minutes if birdwatching. There are well trodden, marked and signposted paths upon visiting. The area is poorly marked on online maps.
