Description
Chafford Gorges is a beautiful nature reserve set in amongst a new build housing estate, with lakes overlooked by a huge white ravine. A network of pathways take you around lakes, meadows and woodland. Among the birds that you can expect to see are rybárik riečny, ďateľ veľký, žlna zelená, brehuľa hnedá, kačica lyžičiarka, chochlačka vrkočatá, potápka malá, jastrab krahulec, trsteniarik malý, trsteniarik bahenný, penica čiernohlavá, stehlík obyčajný and cetia západná. In winter, the gorges are visited by birds such as stehlík čížik, stehlík hnedkavý and chochlačka sivá.

The park is within walking distance of Chafford Hundred railway station. When you choose to arrive by car there is a free car park on site. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
