Description
At Gunthorpe Gravel Pits 120+ species of bird have been seen, including potápač malý, potápač veľký and potápač prostredný in winter, when cibík chochlatý, kačica lyžičiarka and teal can be numerous on flooded fields. Spring brings trsteniarik bahenný, trsteniarik malý, svrčiak zelenkavý to breed, and čorík čierny, skaliarik sivý and pŕhľaviar červenkastý on migration. In summer, sokol lastovičiar hunt swallows over the ponds.
