Description
The Puffin Cove is a small island with impressive numbers (thousands!) of mníšik bielobradý burrows from late April to August. Along the cliffs, species such as alka vrúbkozobá, norec tenkozobý and kormorán chochlatý breed as well. Although the mníšik bielobradý can not be approached and seen from very close range, their numbers and associated activity are definitely worth a short detour, especially in the peak of the breeding season.

Access
The site is located along Scotlands northern coastline. Puffin Cove is closed to vehicular access. There is no nearby parking and it can only be accessed by foot. After a short walk along a (sometimes unclear) path through moist moorland and small stream (Wellington boots advised), you'll reach the cliffs, from where you have a decent view on the island.
