Description
Valley Wetlands RSPB Reserve has bučiak veľký that can be heard booming and occasionally flying over the reedbeds. There is a brehuľa hnedá colony on the river Crigyll, plus strnádka trstinová, trsteniarik bahenný, trsteniarik malý, svrčiak zelenkavý, pŕhľaviar čiernohlavý and škovránok poľný. In winter kačica lyžičiarka, kačica hvizdárka, kačica chrapka and kačica ostrochvostá. Best to visit before 8.30 am as the jets from the aerodrome are noisy later on. There are otters, dragonflies and pyramid orchids.

Valley Wetlands has a car park on site. The reserve is in the NW corner of Anglesey and accessible by bus or car, see link below. There is also a train station at Rhosneigr.
