Description
Timber Creek Airstrip is a great spot to look for a range of finch species including Star Finch and Pictorella Mannikin. Gouldian Finch has also been occasionally seen here. Oriental Plover is a chance on the strip itself late in the year. In addition a good range of other bush birds are reported regularly.
The site is best birded by walking around the strip perimeter fence on the fence firebreak track.

While the walk is 'easy' it lies in open country and if it's at all warm, taking a litre or so of fluid would be a good idea.
