Description
Located on the territory of 4 municipalities the Arjuzanx site covers 2,679 hectare and has become the largest French wintering site for žerjav. Among the 177 bird species observed are rjavi lunj, pepelasti lunj, podhujka, rjavi srakoper, palčja penica, rjava cipa, sokol selec, belorepec, kreheljc, polojnik and mali deževnik. However, it is with the presence in winter of žerjav that the site is really spectacular.

Access
Reserve d'Arjuzanx is located between Bordeaux (115 km) and Bayonne (95 km), west of Mont de Marsan (34 km), near the village of Arjuzanx. The park can be reached by bus with Mont de Marsan-Mimizan busline 47. Close to the visitor center is a big parking. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. The park is open all year round and enjoys an exceptional, open access environment on an area of approximately 400 ha. To facilitate the discovery, visits are offered accompanied by a nature guide. They are intended for the general public as part of nature walks or thematic events, the main highlight of which is the "Common Crane Show". A circular walk around the lake (7 km) is possible year round, but can be muddy in wet periods.
