Description
Get up early with high tide, before the dogwalkers appear, and the beach will have plenty of birds in easy reach of a short stroll. školjkarica, veliki škurh, siva čaplja and rdečenogi martinec are all likely on the beach around the waterline. kamenjar, siva vrana and Bela pastirica ssp yarrellii may be more likely on exposed seaweed or flotsam around the tide mark. poljska vrana is also possible. vranjek is most likely hauled out on rocky outcrops, although veliki kormoran is becoming more common in recent times. rečni galeb is common with occasional črnoglavi galeb. gaga and mlakarica are likely in the water.
For a slightly longer walk a path goes along the cliffs at the north end of the bay where obalna vriskarica, prosnik and planinska vrana could be encountered.
