Description
A mosaic of water, reed, swamp groves and grasslands in the excavated peat. That is De Deelen, in the heart of the province of Friesland. In autumn and winter, thousands of ducks and geese, including žvižgavka, beločela gos, žličarica and belolična gos come to De Deelen. Rare species such as črna čigra, rjava čaplja and rjavi lunj also live in the area. If you listen carefully, you may be able to hear the kobiličar singing in the spring. Other birds you can see here are siva gos, žličarka, modra taščica, veliki škurh, mlakarica, čopasta črnica, sivka, čopasti ponirek, kanja, kanadska gos, trstni strnad and navadna čigra.

Small parking lot available. It is a walking area with some marked paths, Unfortunately also sometimes used by dog walkers. Has a small bird observatory. From the parking to the birdhide is about 1 km.
