Reputedly 192 species visit the area and wetlands around the village of Gökova, mostly on migration. That includes 5 species of lark, 4 of wheatear, vagrant falcons. 60 species breed including rumeni vrtnik and rakar. Also izmirski gozdomec can be spotted. Wintering wildfowl such as kreheljc, dolgorepa raca and rdečevrata gos. Boat trips available along the river and coastline. All seasons good except in summer heat.
