Description
The zeleni čebelar breeds in Asia, Northern Africa, and the Middle East. They also do so in eastern Turkey. They nest solitarily or in loose colonies of up to ten birds. They sometimes nest in colonies with čebelar. The dry and open surroundings of the hamlet of Hüyüklü are a good spot to see zeleni čebelar. They are summer guests and breed in the area. Other birds you can see in the area are čebelar, oazna grlica, divja grlica, zlatovranka, smrdokavra, frankolin, rjasta kanja, črni škarnik, sirijski detel, kupcar, turški kupčar and prelestna prinija.
