Description
Allhallows Marshes cover 98 hectares of land consisting of grazing marsh with water courses, ditches, fields, dykes and hedgerows. The brackish, grazing marshes attract many birds. Wading birds like rdečenogi martinec, školjkarica, progastorepi kljunač, črnorepi kljunač, veliki škurh, mali škurh, sabljarka and togotnik. But also many other birds like geese, ducks and gulls. Also močvirska uharica and rjavi lunj, komatni deževnik, velika bela čaplja and kukavica can be seen. Others seen from time to time are rjavi srakoper and komatar on passage. plevica is a current visitor.
