Ballard Water Meadow is located in New Milton and consists of a small lake, water meadow and woodland. It is a Site of Importance to Nature Conservation (SINC). Among the birds you can observe are cikovt, kanadska gos, sokol selec, rumenoglavi kraljicek, Bela pastirica ssp yarrellii, mlakarica, navadna postovka, siva čaplja, srebrni galeb, tašcica, ščinkavec, kalin, rečni galeb, srebrni galeb, siva pastirica and stržek.

Access
Parking on Lake Grove Road, just up from New Milton Town Centre. The parking is free in marked bay. You can also sit in your car to view the ducks, geese and gulls from the car. But you need to walk to get into the the water meadows and woods. There is also a fairly level track all round the lake.
