Description
The Deben Estuary is a nationally and internationally significant wintering area for up to 6,000 zlata prosenka, 600 črnorepi kljunač, rdečenogi martinec and 400+ sabljarka. Also spremenljivi prodnik, veliki prodnik, črna prosenka and priba. zvonec at Martlesham Creek and ledni slapnik at Ramsholt. čopasti ponirek, zlatouhi ponirek, črnovrati ponirek and Mokož possible. Small flock of severni repnik most winters. High tides are best for seeing roosting waders, check tide times and height first (see the link below). Take care not to get cut off by exceptionally high tides.

From Ipswich take A12 to Woodbridge then various minor roads to Waldringfield on south bank or Bawdsey on north bank. Boat hire available Woodbridge or Waldringfield.
