Description
Eyebrook Reservoir is an important site for wintering wildfowl, such as žvižgavka, kreheljc, and sivka. Other habitats are marsh, mudflats, grassland, broad-leaved woodland and plantations. Other birds that can be seen here include rjavi škarnik, škrjančar, ribji orel, mali žagar, spremenljivi prodnik and zlata prosenka. In migration periods scarcer species can be attracted to the reservoir's shores and these regularly include srpokljuni prodnik, togotnik and črni martinec. Vagrants which have occurred include seabirds such as viharni strakoš and strmoglavec, as well as čopasta čaplja, kvakač, črna komatna tekica and a variety of other species, mostly associated with wetlands.

Access
There is no public access to the reservoir, which is reserved for a trout fishery, but it can be viewed from a public footpath which runs along a part of the reservoir (see the map). Click on the P in the map to get dirtections.
