Description
Valley Wetlands RSPB Reserve has bobnarica that can be heard booming and occasionally flying over the reedbeds. There is a breguljka colony on the river Crigyll, plus trstni strnad, srpična trstnica, bičja trstnica, kobiličar, prosnik and poljski škrjanec. In winter žličarica, žvižgavka, kreheljc and dolgorepa raca. Best to visit before 8.30 am as the jets from the aerodrome are noisy later on. There are otters, dragonflies and pyramid orchids.

Valley Wetlands has a car park on site. The reserve is in the NW corner of Anglesey and accessible by bus or car, see link below. There is also a train station at Rhosneigr.
