The carpark area before going into Lamington National Park is worth exploring. Thanks to feeders many of the birds may hang around here. Birds you can observe include Regent Bowerbird, Blue-faced Honeyeater, Eastern Yellow Robin, Eastern Whipbird, Paradise Riflebird, Australian Brushturkey, Yellow-throated Scrubwren, Green Catbird, and Bassian Thrush.

Access

Lamington National is located about 110 km south of Brisbane and roughly 85 km southwest of the Gold Coast. Press P on the map for directions to the carpark. There are then walking track options. Allow a day or more if taking tracks but if in carpark, half will be enough. There is accommodation very close by.
