Description
Eagle Gorge is an easily accessible gorge from Dedoplistsqaro. Beloglavi sup, Crna roda and Sivi soko breed on the cliffs and can easily be seen from specific watchpoints along the routes. On warm days, Zmijar and Patuljasti orao make regular appearances. In the forest down in the valley Vuga and Kavkaski zviždak can be heard in spring and summer.
The cliff walls are home to Brgljez lončar, Modrokos and Gorska lasta. Near the parking lot Crnoglava strnadica, Vinogradska strnadica and Pirgasta grmuša are heard singing or can be seen on migration. In autumn, Mali ždral are sometimes seen migrating past the highest tops. Further along the path there is a breeding facility for wild Fazan , so a true wild bird of this species has to be encountered somewhere else.

Access
Eagle Gorge is located 130 km east of Tblisi near Dedoplistskaro in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia. Dedoplistskaro is reachable by road from Tbilisi in about 2.5–3 hours. Parking can be done at the Eagle Gorge parking lot. Press P on the map for directions. From the parking it is a short (but straining) walk towards some watchpoints.
