Description
A mosaic of water, reed, swamp groves and grasslands in the excavated peat. That is De Deelen, in the heart of the province of Friesland. In autumn and winter, thousands of ducks and geese, including Zviždara, Lisasta guska, Plovka kašikara and Belolika guska come to De Deelen. Rare species such as Crna čigra, Crvena čaplja and Eja močvarica also live in the area. If you listen carefully, you may be able to hear the Cvrčić tršćar singing in the spring. Other birds you can see here are Divlja guska, Kašičar, Modrovoljka, Velika carska šljuka, Gluvara, Ćubasta patka, Riđoglava patka, Ćubasti gnjurac, Mišar, Kanadska guska, Barska strnadica and Obična čigra.

Small parking lot available. It is a walking area with some marked paths, Unfortunately also sometimes used by dog walkers. Has a small bird observatory. From the parking to the birdhide is about 1 km.
