Description
The mouth of the Riera de Ribes stream can be found at the end of the seafront in Sitges. The most interesting ornithological aspect of the site are the seabirds, with interesting species like Sredozemni galeb, Crnoglavi galeb, Dugokljuna čigra, Morski vranac, and Obična bluna. Some rarer species that can be seen are the Golemi zovoj, Mali zovoj and Balearski zovoj. In winter Srednji ronac has been seen several years.
In the reeds Svilorepi cvrčić, Trstenjak crvrkutić, Talasasta astrilda, Barska strnadica, and Sredozemna crnoglava grmuša can be heard and seen. Aquatic species like Gluvara, Mala bela čaplja, Čaplja govedarka, Siva čaplja and Vodomar are present in the water course.
Close to the mouth of Riera de Ribes is the Golf Club Terramar, and the greens are good to look for birds like Crnoglava travarka, Livadska trepteljka, Crna crvenrepka, and Pupavac.
