Çelebibağı Marshes has different habitats that attract many bird species. The landscape is unique with vast mud flats in the Lake Van closed basin. Shorebirds and other water birds are abundant and the diversity of birds is impressive. Among the birds you can observe in the area are Utva zlatokrila, Plamenac, Barski petlovan, Ždral, Grogotovac, Vlastelica, Sabljarka, Žalar blatarić, Eja močvarica, Zmijar, Riđi mišar, Senica vuga, Pčelarica, Modrovrana, but also rare birds like Veliki labud, Mali labud, Crvenovrata liskonoga and many more.
