Description
Doğubayazıt Marshes comprises two lakes separated by an extensive marsh with reedbeds and wet meadows, situated at the foot of Mount Ararat. The lakes are covered mainly by reed, with large parts drying up in summer. The plains surrounding the wetland are grazed, and reed-cutting takes place. Bird species richness is high in the Doğubayazıt Marshes. Also, the abundance of birds is high. Among the birds you can encounter are Utva zlatokrila, Grogotovac, Vlastelica, Žalar blatarić, Crni sprudnik, Jermenski galeb, Belobrka čigra, Crvena čaplja, Žuta čaplja, Gak, Kašičar and Eja močvarica.
