Vali Recep Yazıcıoğlu Barajı is a big artificial lake directly to the east of Denizli. Many water birds are attracted to the area. Among the birds you can see on and around the reservoir are Bela roda, Mali gnjurac, Mala bela čaplja, Zlatni vivak, Srebrni vivak, Šljuka kamenjarka, Vivak, Vivak ostrugaš, Žalar blatarić, Žalar slepić, Grogotovac, Zviždara, Prevez, Ćubasta patka, Patka njorka and Plamenac.
