Description
I was amazed to see that the harbour at low tide is a popular roosting area for autumn migrant flocks of Zlatni vivak and Mala čigra. Large numbers of Mala njorka, Mali galeb, Veliki pomornik, Kratkorepi pomornik, Dugorepi pomornik, Obični zovoj, Čađavi zovoj, Troprsti galeb and Burnjak can be seen from the clifftop walk east of town.
Beyond the Seaton Cliffs reserve, 3 miles on foot from Arbroath, is Seaton Den, a wooded valley frequented by migrant passerines. Rarities like Šarenokrili azijski zviždak, Žuti voljić, Mala muharica and Pirgasta grmuša may turn up in autumn.
Cliffs can be steep, take care with children and dogs. There is a tarmac path.
