Description
Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of Zviždara, Krdža and Plovka kašikara in winter, amongst smaller numbers of Patka dupljašica. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding Crvenonogi sprudnik, Ostrigar and Žalar slepić in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of Trstenjak crvrkutić, Trstenjak rogožar and Svilorepi cvrčić, Obična kukavica and Barski petlovan. Lastavičar are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included Pljosnokljuna sprutka and Crnogruda sprutka, Siva liskonoga, Vijoglava and Crvenoglavi svračak.

Access
Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
