Description
Broom Lakes are former gravel pits that have become a nice habitat with pools and wet meadows that are interesting for many water birds and waders. When you walk around Broom Lakes you can - depending on the season - see good numbers of duck, including Šarena utva, Krdža, Zviždara, Ćubasta patka, Čegrtuša and Gluvara. Both Ćubasti gnjurac and Mali gnjurac are often seen. Other birds that can be seen here include Obična čigra, Žalar slepić, Žalar blatarić, Ostrigar, Vivak, Crvenonogi sprudnik, Veliki ronac, Barska strnadica, Strnadica žutovoljka, Riđa lunja, Mišar and Vetruška.
