Description
Stone Point offers a good vantage point over the River Colne with species such as Srednji ronac flying in and out of the Estuary. In the bushes and muddy areas you can find Crnoglava travarka, Barska strnadica and Morska trepteljka during the winter and if you are lucky Snežna strnadica. The saltmarsh and beach are good places to watch Grivasta guska, Bela sprutka, Velika sprutka, Crnotrba sprutka, Žalar blatarić, Crvenonogi sprudnik, Sabljarka, Velika carska šljuka, Srebrni vivak, Muljača and Laponska muljača at close range during the winter. The area can be busy with visitors so early or late visits can be productive.
