Description
Glasfynydd Forest has mostly moorland and woodland species eg Crnoglava travarka, Red Grouse, Obična crvenrepka, Barska šljuka, Mala šljuka, Mali soko, Vetruška and Riđa lunja. In winter Veliki svračak, Krstokljun, Zimovka, Čižak and Mala brezova juričica. Few birds on the reservoir but Krdža, Siva čaplja and Veliki ronac possible. Vodenkos and Potočna pliska below the dam. For Leganj, look for a recently felled forest area with regrowth of bracken, bramble etc - only active after dark between May and August.

Access
From Swansea take A4067 Tawe valley road then left two miles beyond Danyrogof caves. From A40 Brecon/Llandovery road, turn south from Trecastle. Buses through Trecastle regularly. Train station at Llandovery. The circular walk around the reservoir is 8 km.
