Description
RSPB The Oa is home to many important breeding and wintering birds, including Crvenokljuna galica, Suri orao, Poljska eja, Sivi soko and occasionally Prdavac. During the winter months the reserve is very important for wintering Lisasta guska and in particular, Planinska juričica. With The Oa reserve hosting likely the largest wintering flock in the UK. Suri orao is present throughout the year, soaring above the cliffs and moors.
