Description
Valley Wetlands RSPB Reserve has Vodeni bik that can be heard booming and occasionally flying over the reedbeds. There is a Bregunica colony on the river Crigyll, plus Barska strnadica, Trstenjak crvrkutić, Trstenjak rogožar, Cvrčić tršćar, Crnoglava travarka and Poljska ševa. In winter Plovka kašikara, Zviždara, Krdža and Šiljkan. Best to visit before 8.30 am as the jets from the aerodrome are noisy later on. There are otters, dragonflies and pyramid orchids.

Valley Wetlands has a car park on site. The reserve is in the NW corner of Anglesey and accessible by bus or car, see link below. There is also a train station at Rhosneigr.
