Description

The Amazonas Life Camp is located on the Manacapuru River in the central Amazon surrounded by Amazonian forest and river landscapes. The area is teeming with fish, aquatic mammals, and numerous birds. The camp is situated on an elevated peninsula of 140 hectares of garden and jungles and features 7 km of observation trails. Birds you can observe include Hoatzin, Harpy Eagle, Olive Oropendola, Marvelous Spatuletail, Maguari Stork, Cinereous Tinamou, Large-billed Tern, Smooth-billed Ani Red-and-green Macaw, Black-tailed Trogon, Ringed Kingfisher, Yellow-rumped Cacique and Chestnut-headed Nunlet.

Amazonas Life Camp is located along the Rio Manacapuru, 120 km west of the city of Manaus. The camp arranges transport and everything necessary in 2 hours. Contact the camp (see the link below) to determine the best time to visit.
