Description
A mosaic of water, reed, swamp groves and grasslands in the excavated peat. That is De Deelen, in the heart of the province of Friesland. In autumn and winter, thousands of ducks and geese, including Свищ євразійський, Гуска білолоба, Широконіска північна and Казарка білощока come to De Deelen. Rare species such as Крячок чорний, Чапля руда and Лунь очеретяний also live in the area. If you listen carefully, you may be able to hear the Кобилочка-цвіркун singing in the spring. Other birds you can see here are Гуска сіра, Косар білий, Синьошийка, Кульон великий, Крижень, Чернь чубата, Попелюх звичайний, Пірникоза велика, Канюк звичайний, Казарка канадська, Вівсянка очеретяна and Крячок річковий.

Small parking lot available. It is a walking area with some marked paths, Unfortunately also sometimes used by dog walkers. Has a small bird observatory. From the parking to the birdhide is about 1 km.
