The Foix Delta is located in Cubelles, Barcelona province. In its final stretch the Foix river runs through a heavily urbanized area. During spring and autumn, the river mouth is a good place to observe passerine migratory bird species like Даурська ластівка , Кропив'янка червоновола , Мухоловка строката , Очеретянка ставкова , Сорокопуд червоноголовий , and also shorebirds like Коловодник лісовий , Коловодник звичайний , Коловодник великий , or Пісочник великий. Пісочник морський is one of the most iconic species. Other interesting species that occur are Чапля жовта , Чапля руда , and Пастушок.
The following species are present all year round: Таміка віялохвоста , Очеретянка середземноморська , and Кропив’янка середземноморська. Seabirds can also be observed resting or bathing in the lagoon, notably Мартин середземноморський , Крячок рябодзьобий , and Мартин сіроногий. At sea, notable species can be observed such as Balearic Shearwater , Малий буревісник , Буревісник cередземноморський , and Сула атлантична.

The Foix Delta is located in the town of Cubelles, about 50 km west of Barcelona. The area can be reached by car, and it is easy to park in the Municipal Sports Centre. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. Public transport: Getting there by train is easy. The train station of Cubelles (1) is on walking distance (500m) of the Foix Delta. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 1,5 km.
