Valls de Rials is very good for some interesting summer breeding species, and during migration can be very good, especially for passerine species. During the breeding season some Mediterranean species of open landscapes are present in the area: Дрімлюга іспанський, Горлиця звичайна, Кропив'янка червоновола, and Вівчарик світлочеревий. Other summer species are Серпокрилець білочеревий, Бджолоїдка звичайна, Ластівка сільська, and Соловейко західний. Дрімлюга звичайний can be heard singing from the hills.
During migration, several passerine species can be found: Даурська ластівка, Сорокопуд червоноголовий, Мухоловка строката, Горихвістка звичайна, Трав’янка лучна, Кам’янка звичайна, and Щеврик лісовий.
There are several resident species Сич хатній, Сіра сова, Трав'янка чорноголова, жовна іберійська, Кеклик червононогий, and the exotic Астрильд смугастий.

Access
Valls de Rials is located 15 km northeast of Barcelona, near the village of Alella. Park in the Alella Institute, and start walking close to the pine forest towards the Vall de Rials. Go in the direction of Bodegues Roura, and once in the vineyards, just walk in the different paths that are in the area. Some paths are close to the small streams with holly oaks and pubescent oaks, where several bird species can be seen or heard. The walking route shown on the map is about 3 km in total one way.

The area is very hot in summer, and best time to visit in the early morning. During the weekends plenty of people visit the area, so in case you visit the site in the weekends, go in the early morning.
