Description
There are many islands on the Lake Aktaş wetland. All of them are stiuated in Turkey. The lake is located at high elevation and it is a freswater lake. The landscape is beautiful with mountain grassland on this Caucasus hotspot. This lake was a breeding area of Турпан. Also, it is still an important breeding area for Пелікан кучерявий and Пелікан рожевий in Turkey. You can see breeding colonies of Пелікан кучерявий and Пелікан рожевий which have been restricted to several wetlands in Turkey. If you lucky, you can see Турпан in the lake which is accepted an ex-breeding area of the species. A new record of Турпан will be important in terms of conservation.
